FALL FROLIC 2015 


The Beaux Arts Society held its Fall Frolic on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Solas located at 232 East 9th Street in Manhattan. A free buffet (containing items contributed by members) included meat balls, pasta salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, vegetable crudites, chocolate cookies, red velvet cake with cream cheese, and coconut macaroons. Dr. Tom Stevens hosted the event. Nicholas Bonaparte, Michael Carlin, Ronnie Giles, Alicia Lazansky, Corky Romash, Dr. Phil Schoenberg, Dr. Tom Stevens, George Strum, Stark Wilz, Michelle Yaskel & Jerry Zarin performed & presented. There was a free raffle with gifts that included rug mats, blue & red bandanas, colognes & perfumes. SUMMER SOIREE 2015 


The Beaux Arts Society held its Summer Soiree on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. at Etcetera Etcetera located at 352 West 44th Street in Manhattan. A buffet was served which included Scrambled Eggs with Taleggio Cheese, Pancetta & Sausage, Roasted Potatoes, Vegetable Lasagna, Lasagna Bolognese, Mixed Field Green Salad, Homemade Foccacia, Muffins, Tiramisu and unlimited coffee, tea and soda. Dr. Tom Stevens hosted the event. Philip Belpasso, Sean Peter Bennett, Fred Cookinham, Denny Daniel, Ron Fowler, Ronnie Giles, Rosalie R. Harman, Sylvia L. Oshypko, Ben Rosenfeld, Dr. Phil Schoenberg, Dr. Tom Stevens & George Strum performed and presented. H.E. Marakay J. Rogers, G.K.C.S.D. announced the appointment of two new Distinguished Artists, and Denny Daniel of The Museum of Interesting Things showed attendees artifacts from his travelling museum. All attendees received a gift scent to take home. The Beaux Arts Society held its Winter Carnival on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Solas located at 232 East 9thStreet in Manhattan. A free buffet (containing items contributed by members) included meat balls, shrimp with cocktail sauce, kebab, pudding & fruit with vanilla wafers as a base, three cheeses & crackers, chocolate & almond cookies, four cakes, tortilla chips & mango salsa, Mediterranean olives and fresh strawberries. Dr. Tom Stevens hosted the event. Phil Belpasso, Demetria Daniels, Ron Fowler, Ronnie Giles, Kitt Holiday, Andrew Martin, Dr. Tom Stevens & Lillian Walker-Moss performed & presented. There was a free raffle with gifts that included DVDs, CDs, colognes & perfumes.  SPRING FLING 2015


The Beaux Arts Society held its Spring Fling on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. in The Press Room (2nd Floor) of The Press Box at 932 2nd Avenue in Manhattan. A buffet was served which included Penne ala Vodka, Chicken Marsala, Roast Turkey with Stuffing, Shepherd’s Pie, Salad, Vegetables, Bread, Fruit and unlimited coffee, tea and soda. Dr. Tom Stevens hosted the event. Ron Fowler, Ronnie Giles, Sylvia Oshypko, Corky Romash, Dr. Phil Schoenberg, Princess Sigrid Sunstedt, Lillian Walker-Moss, Stark Wilz and Lance Yaeger performed and presented. Marakay Rogers read a letter from Distinguished Artist Donna Drake and Jim Pagano gave tribute to the late Warren Richmond, who served as Publicist for the Beaux Arts Society for many decades. 109th ANNUAL BEAUX ARTS BALL 2015 


The Beaux Arts Society held its 109th Annual Beaux Arts Ball on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. in the Oak Room of Terrace On The Park (in Flushing Meadows Park) located at 52-11 111th Street in Queens. The Ball featured a five (5) hour open bar (top shelf liquor), a cocktail hour with Hors D’oeuvres served Butler style from silver trays (Beef Kebobs, Coconut Shrimp, Crab Cakes, Beef Tenderloin Bruschetta, Franks Encroute, Chicken Kebobs, Beef Patties, Chicken Sate, Mini Pizza, Stuffed Mushrooms, Pulled Pork Sliders, Grilled Chicken Quesadillas & Mozzarella en Carozza), Steak & Turkey Carving Stations, and a Buffet that included Penne ala Vodka, Eggplant Rollatini, Beef Pizzaiola, Pork Loin Au Poivre, Scarpariello, Sweet & Sour Breast of Chicken, Paella Valencia, Salad, Vegetables, Potato, and Pastries for dessert. The tablecloths were Ivory and the napkins were Gold. Dr. Tom Stevens hosted. Entertainment was provided by Ron Fowler. Performers included Olivia Bond, Remy Bond, Judi Mark, Richard Masin, Tym Moss, Sarah Rice, George Strum, and Queen Lady Diana Templeton. Richard Masin and Tym Moss were the Official Photographers. Howard Bloom was coronated King. Alma Halbert Bond, Ph.D. was coronated Queen, Sean Peter Bennett was coronated Prince, and Sarah Rice was coronated Princess. The theme of the Ball was Broadway Musicals. Costume Parade Winners included George Strum (Winner), Judi Mark (1st Runner Up), Princess Jenni Egan (2nd Runner Up), and Marakay Rogers (3rd Runner Up). The Costume Parade Winner received a coffee table sized book entitled Dali: The Salvador Dali Museum Collection, which sells new on Amazon for between $192.76 and $295.00. Denny Daniel, the Curator of the Museum of Interesting Things, brought many antique and historical items to the Ball (including an exhibit with a Music and 1800s theme), which he explained to all interested parties. All attendees received a 2016 pocket calendar book in commemoration of the event. HOLIDAY PARTY 2015 


The Beaux Arts Society held its Holiday Party on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Portofino Ristorante located at 109-32 Ascan Avenue in Forest Hills, New York. Portofino Ristorante offered a comprehensive lunch buffet that was enjoyed by all in attendance. Valet Parking was available. Dr. Tom Stevens hosted the event. All guests received either a Lindt Chocolate Bar or a 2016 Calendar Book as a parting gift.
